All Wheel Drive Vehicles That Might Surprise You

If you live in an area that experiences harsh winter conditions, you know the necessity all wheel drive has when car shopping. Even if the winter months are on the mild side, the safety and reliability of an all wheel drive vehicle is a big plus. A lot of Trucks, and SUV’s come equipped with 4-wheel drive or all wheel drive, and there are even some Sedans that are known to come with all wheel drive, most notably Subaru’s Impreza and WRX. Of course, the Audi lineup of Sedans comes to mind as well. However, there are plenty of sedans that many people don’t know have an all wheel drive option. Here are our most surprising:

Nissan Altima

The Altima is most known for its spacious interior that provides comfort for up to 5 passengers. Beginning in 2019, the Altima is available with an AWD option. A staple in the Nissan lineup, the Altima is prepared to perfectly fit the commuter need. No matter where you live, or the conditions you drive in, the Altima is prepared to give you a smooth and enjoyable ride.

Mazda Mazda3

Our second surprising vehicle that comes with an all wheel drive option is the Mazda Mazda3. The Mazda3 is considered to be one the top compact cars on the market and like the Altima, as of 2019 is available with AWD. This sporty vehicle comes in a sedan or hatchback style, but both are equally fun to drive. You’ll love the handle and feel while driving and definitely trust the reliability that comes with all wheel drive.

Ford Fusion

Our final pick for a surprise all wheel drive sedan is the Ford Fusion. Like the Altima, the Fusion offers a spacious interior, and what U.S. News calls an “Athletic Handle”. While the Fusion might trail other competitors in certain things like fuel economy, the all wheel drive option is a major positive, and makes the Fusion a popular pick.
